Should You Choose the eMax S or eMax L Tractor?

Mahindra offers two high quality sub-compact tractor lines: the eMax S and the eMax L series. The right match for you depends on your preferences about tractor size, performance, and so on.

Keep reading to learn about these tractors. For more information, check out the series brochure or stop by your local Mahindra dealer.

Comparing the Size

The smaller tractor is in the eMax S lineup. A smaller size comes with some benefits.

First, the lower overall weight leads to easier handling. Anyone can appreciate this, but especially those new to tractor ownership.

Second, the smaller width leads to better maneuverability. It’s easier to pass through cramped spaces, take tighter turns, and so on.

The eMax L tractors are larger, which also leads to some benefits.

First, the higher overall weight leads to better stability. This is especially helpful on uneven or unpredictable terrain.

Second, these tractors have a higher minimum ground clearance. They can more easily cruise over obstacles without getting damage

Comparing the Performance

The eMax L tractors offer slightly better performance in two key areas.

First, they have higher horsepower (22HP and 24HP compared to 19.4HP).

Second, they have higher lift capacity (1323 pounds compared to 680 pounds).

Comparing the Fuel Tank

The eMax S tractors have a slightly larger fuel tank, which can hold 6.6 gallons. In contrast, the eMax L tractors have a 5.8 gallon fuel tank.

Comparing the Construction

Both Mahindra tractor series are similar in their construction. They are built with high quality materials, which leads to impressive durability and longevity. But the eMax L tractors also come with reinforced steel side panels and hood.

Comparing the Number of Models

The eMax series has one model – the 20S. The eMax L has two models – the 22L and the 25L.

Choosing Between the eMax S and eMax L Tractors

Start by considering your property:

  1. If it’s full of tight spaces to navigate, get the more compact eMax S tractor.
  2. If it’s full of obstacles to pass over, you’ll want the higher ground clearance that comes with the eMax L tractor.

Next, consider your comfort level:

  1. If you are a less experienced tractor operator, focus on the eMax S tractor with its easy handling.
  2. If you are a more experienced tractor operator, focus on the eMax L tractor with its better stability.

Then, consider your project needs.

  1. For smaller projects, the eMax S tractor should do just fine.
  2. For larger projects, the eMax L tractor should be a good fit.

Not sure which tractor best suits your needs? Your local Mahindra dealer can help! Talk to them about your budget and projects, then they can recommend the most compatible model.
